About

Hi there!

My name is Myrthe. I like to take pictures.

I studied philosophy and a bit of (documentary) photography in art school on the side. After my studies, I took two years off and  traveled to New Zealand and to South America. In South America I met a kiwi dude with a big beard, who turned out to be the love of my life. We now live together in Amsterdam and are happily married for some years.

My main job now is as an ethics advisor, and as a side job I am a wedding photographer. I love the balance between these two jobs: rational and theoretical work combined with intuitive and creative work.

At weddings, I like to look for special moments, sparks and emotions between people, beautiful details, moments of happiness, and the party in full swing. This way I create a unique photo series that captures the atmosphere and tells the story of the big day. I also find it important that the connection between the couple and me is good – after all, we will spend a lot of time together on a very intimate occasion.

So, if you’re planning your own genuine and authentic wedding day and you’re in need of a photographer – feel free to get in touch. If you’re still looking for love, go backpacking.
